Anthany beasley

Anthany is the owner and operator of Beasley Family Therapy Services. He has been offering trauma-informed mental health care, gender-affirming therapy, and resources to youth, adolescents, and young adults in Southeast Michigan since 2018. As a queer transgender man of color, he educates the medical and general community about LGBTQI+ challenges and barriers to care through presentations and panel discussions. He focuses on understanding how policies and barriers affect trans and non-binary individuals' access to necessary medical and mental health services.

Anthany also is an educator teaching social workers how to provide anti-racist, affirming, and ethically responsible services while promoting equitable inclusion in mental health. He is currently a LEO Lecturer I at the University of Michigan’s School of Social Work.

His lived and professional experience as a trans person of color greatly enriches his contributions to social work, mental health therapy, community engagement, and teaching.
